Blood Donation Camp
A Blood Donation Camp was organized this morning at Motilal Nehru Public School which was inaugurated by Dr. Nakul Chowdhary (Dy. Superintendent- MGMH). Altogether 134 units of blood were collected. A team of doctors from Jamshedpur Blood Bank under the guidance of Dr Ritu Singh, Medical Officer, Jamshedpur Blood Bank,Jharkhand, helped in carrying out the Blood Donation. The programme received immense support from the School Management, parents, faculty members and students.The School Cabinet and Mr. Sunil Mukherjee from the Voluntary Blood Donor’s Association,Jharkhand, played an active role.The team from Vestige Marketing ably led by Mr. Sanjeev Singh also supported the camp.
During summer months there is an acute crisis of blood and therefore, the need for active participation in donation at this time. Dr.Nakul Chowdhary supported and congratulated the institution for organizing this camp every year, this being the 22nd consecutive year. He elaborated upon the need for students to be responsible citizens and work for such community programmes, especially at a time when there is an upsurge in the number of cancer patients.
Mr. Akhilesh Dubey, Chairman, School Managing Committee congratulated parents and students for donating blood and expressed happiness about the school’s involvement in such community initiatives.
Teachers Mrs. Moli Deb, Mrs. Balaka Dutta, Mrs. Jayashree Naidu, Mrs. Keya Adak and others played an active role along with students for this noble cause. Students of the school alumni also played an active role.
Adnan and Shruti of class XII C compered the program. Several Committee members and UP Sangh members graced the occasion. Principal Ashu Tiwary delivered the Vote of Thanks.
