A Blood Donation Camp was organized this morning at Motilal Nehru Public School which was inaugurated by Dr. Ajay Mishra, a postgraduate in Medicine and MBBS from Patna Medical College, DCH from TMH, MD (Medicine); worked as ICU in charge at Raj Hospital, Ranchi.
Altogether 85 Units of blood were collected. A team of doctors from Jamshedpur Blood Bank under the guidance of Dr L.B. Singh, Medical Officer, Jamshedpur Blood Bank, Jharkhand, helped in carrying out the Blood Donation. The programme received immense support from the School Management, parents, faculty members and students. The School Cabinet also played key role in making this program a success.
Dr. Ajay Mishra expressed his support and heartfelt congratulations to the institution for organizing this camp. The institution organizes blood donation camp every year, this being the 25h consecutive year. Our distinguished guest elaborated upon the need for students to be responsible citizens and work for such community programmes, especially at a time when there is an upsurge in the number of cancer patients.
Mr. Akhilesh Dubey, Chairman, School Managing Committee congratulated parents and students for donating blood and expressed happiness about the school’s involvement in such community initiatives.
The Principal, Mrs. Sangeeta Singh, and Vice Principal, Mrs. Rakhi Mitra, Senior school Co-ordinator and Junior school Co-ordinator provided unwavering support and guidance, ensuring the smooth execution of the blood donation camp and fostering a culture of community service within the school.
Teachers Mrs. Moli Deb, Mrs. Bindu Ahuja and Sir Subroto Biswas including others played an active role along with students to support this noble cause. Students of the school alumni also played an active role.
Palak and Swayam of 12 B compered the program. Several Committee members and UP Sangh members graced the occasion. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ruhaba of 12A
